Alrighty, people. Today's the first day of a brand new week. And as a student who's about to complete her A Level's Course, I think it's time to stop all activities that are distractions, ie, blogging!


On Saturday, I finally finished up Season 2 of House. It was awesome. My sister bought Season 3 yesterday but I shall only watch that after all my exams are over :) That's in November! .... Such a long way to go, but I can do this! :D


The other distraction I had to get out of the way was 'My Sister's Keeper' by Jodi Picoult. It's such a good book! I finished it up last night at 1am and ended up in tears. For those of you who know, me crying is a big deal cos I don't cry so much... Unlike *cough*cough* Amelia & Lina :P

But yes, now it's time to start studying like crazy. Reminder to self: Study now, free as a butterfly later!

Pray for me, people :)

Today's a very special day!

It's Dennis Lim Khai Shiang's birthday! :D

Dennis, my boybestfriend, you're a very special person to me. You were there for me last year when I wanted to rant and you comforted me and gave me a shoulder to cry on. You listened to whatever I had to say, whenever I got angry. You give me great relationship advice, sometimes... And other times you really suck at it, but it's okay :P I love you all the same :P

You're a great friend, Shiang :) I'm glad you're happy now because you deserve all the happiness there is in this world. So don't be sad, okay? :) You said you can't do "this" but you can, boy. You're stronger than this ;)

Hugs, I'll always be right here for you but I think you already know this hehe




And today's also a special (albeit sad) day for another reason. Because Amelia Lau Yi Ling left for Aberdeen, Scotland this morning :(


Amelia, you know what I miss the most about us? I miss going to the same school and having the same classes with you. I miss going to the toilet and taking pictures there. I miss laughing like crazy in classes. I miss talking in code words that only the two of us are able to understand. I miss it all :(


I'll miss going out with you and stuffing our faces like crazy. I'll miss having a partner to eat Peanut Butter + Kaya Waffles with. I'll miss singing Chinese songs in the K-Box. I'll miss sleepovers at your place. I'll miss our heart-to-heart talks on the phone. I'll miss having you call me and talk to me about your day. Oh goodness, I'll even miss hearing you whine about how much you ate or how much weight you think you've gained -.- hehe

I'll miss everything we've gone through together. 6 years of our friendship has taught us alot about ourselves. We bicker all the time but in the end, we always reconcile. Sometimes, we're like an old married couple, we say so little to each other because we know each other so well.



Sigh, I'll miss you, bestfriend <3

I have to believe in this. That "things always change for the better". And to my dear, dear friend out there who feels SO angry some days that he just doesn't know what to do anymore, believe in this. Because if you don't have this to hold on to, then.. I'm sorry, you're rather screwed.

Optimism is the key. People ask me how I can be so optimistic when my life seems to be falling apart. I guess it's because I know God's always be there for me through thick and thin. He will be there to wipe the tears from my eyes. He sees me crying when no one else does. He gives me comfort that I can hold on to. If you're all pessimistic and "emo" as most of us would put it nowadays, you're going to sink into depression and you won't be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. The part where things look up.

Take it from me. I've had a pretty crappy life these past few years. I have. I mean, okay, I've not been starving to death or dying from an illness but... let's just say that there have been events in my life that left me emotionally unavailable and emotionally dead. And that emotionless state carried on for two years until God finally woke me up through a very special person. God began to show me that things don't always have to be so depressing. But it was all up to me. I had a choice. To start living with hope or to just let myself waste away.

I chose hope. I chose freedom in Christ. I chose to believe in love again. I chose to believe that things will change for the better. I chose to believe that
